Dr. Gallagher's journey to becoming a leading orthodontist is as diverse as it is impressive. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering at Arizona State University before transitioning to the field of dentistry. At the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Gallagher obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Sciences and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1994. Furthering his education, he completed his Master of Science degree and specialized in Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific in 1999. Not one to rest on his laurels, Dr. Gallagher achieved the pinnacle of academic excellence with a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2004.

A proud member of esteemed dental associations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Clara County Dental Society, Dr. Gallagher's commitment to his profession is unwavering. Drawing inspiration from his time in the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Gallagher brings the ethos of "Semper Fi" or "always faithful" to his orthodontic practice, ensuring steadfast dedication to his patients' care.

Dr. Gallagher's unique background as a civil engineer shines through in his meticulous attention to detail, evident in the thoughtful renovations he personally oversaw in both the Gilroy and Hollister offices. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Gallagher finds joy in spending time with his two adult children, Rachael and Brian. A devoted collector of Disney memorabilia, Dr. Gallagher's passion is palpable as his prized collection adorns the walls of both offices. Even their beloved family dog, Eve, a charming Shih Tzu, was named after a character from the Disney/Pixar film "WALL-E."

In his downtime, Dr. Gallagher delights in sharing his wealth of knowledge, whether it's treating patients or regaling them with trivia spanning sports, movies, music, history, and beyond. His love for adventure extends to family outings at Fentons Creamery in Oakland, a cherished spot featured in the Disney/Pixar film "Up." With Dr. Gallagher at the helm, you're not just receiving exceptional orthodontic care—you're joining a warm, welcoming community driven by passion, expertise, and a touch of Disney magic.

Desiree

  • Title: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Born and raised in Hollister, California, Desiree has been a licensed RDA since 2014. She and her husband, Steve, have three wonderful kids – David, Kobe and Xavier. Desiree has experience in both general dentistry and orthodontics. She enjoys spending time with her family, vacations, and going to the beach! Desiree is also a HUGE Harry Potter fan!

Kristen

  • Title: Schedule Coordinator
Born in New York and a native of New Hampshire, Kristen and her husband of 36 years moved to Gilroy in 2010 with their two daughters to be closer to her parents who moved west in search of warmer weather. Their son is a Sergeant Major with the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Kristen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and has worked in the music education, special education, and marketing industries. Kristen enjoyed playing her flute with the 39th Army Band in New Hampshire and served on the Board of Directors at her daughters’ school prior to moving to California. Kristen is an avid dissectologist (jigsaw puzzler) and has over 20 Disney-themed puzzles framed and displayed in our Gilroy and Hollister offices!

Silvia

  • Title: Treatment + Insurance Coordinator
Born in Durango, Mexico, Silvia moved to Watsonville, California in 1973 at the age of four. She currently lives in Hollister with her husband of 34 years, Jose. Silvia has three sons, two daughters, and seven grandchildren! She has worked in both the medical and dental fields and is certified in both medical and dental billing. In her spare time, Silvia likes to spend time with her family going camping and on road trips and barbecuing!

Tracy

  • Title: Dental Assistant
Tracy was born in San Jose and raised in Gilroy where she has lived for 29 years. She has been a dental assistant since 2015 and has experience in both pediatric and general dentistry. Tracy has three adorable young kids - a son and two daughters. When not working, she loves to spend time with her kids playing video games and watching Disney movies!
